MCS Balance



This is an innovative program where you can receive reimbursement for gym memberships or for the services of a personal trainer, an MCS Te Paga card, and, in the event of an emergency, assistance service at the primary insured's home.


We invite you to participate in the MCS Balance program at no additional cost to your premium. To be eligible for reimbursement of your gym membership or the services of a personal trainer, receive the MCS Te Paga card, and have access to home assistance services, the insured must be 18 years of age or older and complete a Health Risk Assessment (HRA) during the policy year at one of our MCS Care Clubs centers or with your primary care physician. During this visit, a health professional will identify preventive tests according to your age and gender, identify lifestyle changes appropriate for you, and establish a plan that allows you to enjoy greater health and wellness. The HRA is required to be valid for 12 months or less to access the following benefits:


  • The gym membership reimbursement of up to $40.00 per month, for a maximum of 12 months on gym approved by the Puerto Rico Department of Recreation and Sports or for the services of certified personal trainer. Each reimbursement of up to $40.00 will be made monthly, up to a maximum of 12 months per policy year. You are required to present the MCS Balance Reimbursement Form with evidence of the HRA at one of the MCS service centers.
  • The insured will receive one (1) indemnity of $10.00 each month, during the term of the policy. The indemnity will be paid once the HRA is registered, prospectively, and within the term of coverage of this policy. No indemnity will be provided for periods prior to HRA registration. The indemnity payment will be deposited into the MCS Te Paga card. The monthly amount is transferable from month to month.
  • The Home Assistance Program aids at any 24 hours emergency event at home, as described in the policy. Home Assistance services are offered through American Assist Home Services (AAHS), which is administered by the company Addiuva Inc. Once the HRA is completed, the main insured will be eligible for services. With just one call to the AAHS, the main insured will have the necessary resources for immediate care of the following services:
    • locksmith services
    • plumbing services
    • electricity services
    • glassware services
    • in-home technician connection services

This benefit is only available to PYMES groups insureds under the Affordable Care Act (ACA) commercial plans. Therefore, we invite you to purchase one of our products for 2025:
