Physical activity encourages people to feel, feel and sleep better, thus improving their quality of life. It also supports reducing the risk of developing chronic diseases or their complications.

Health benefits begin to feel immediately after exercise, although it depends on the efforts, activities, and frequency with which it is performed.

MCS INVITES YOU TO PARTICIPATE

The Steps to Wellness initiative brings you the Keep Moving program, which offers you On Demand exercise sessions with the trainers. You will have a library of exercise videos on the YouTube channel so that you can do them in your time and whenever you want. At MCS we want to help you enjoy complete health.


As an added benefit, if you sign up, you will be able to receive additional fitness content, such as: tools, tips from coaches, among others, to keep you on your path to well-being.

How much exercise do I need?​

Weather you are looking to loose or maintain a healthy weight, or just take good care of your health, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends that individuals engage in at least:

  • 2 hours and 30 minutes of moderate aerobic activity weekly, such as: walking at a fast pace

  • 1 hour and 15 minutes of vigorous aerobic activity weekly, such as: running or jogging
  • Muscular strengthening activities, two o more days a week to work on mayor muscles such as legs, hips, back, abdomen, chest, shoulders, and arms.

You can start by trying a brisk walk for 10 minutes, three times a day, five times a week. This will give you a total workout of 150 minutes of moderate excercise activity per week.​​​
