Dr. Inés Hernández-Roses, Chief Medical Officer, is a Board-Certified Family Physician, with over 20 years of experience in the health care industry. Graduated of the Family Medicine Residency Program of the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine and is certified as a Family Medicine specialist by the American Board of Medical Specialties. She was also a professor of Family Medicine at the Medical Sciences Campus of the University of Puerto Rico for nine years.

She is certified as a Health Insurance Professional by the AHIP Foundation and as a Professional Medical Coder by the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC).

She joined MCS in 2005, after several years in academic medicine. Since then, she has held several positions in MCS, including the Vice Presidency of Clinical Affairs. During her tenure, she has been responsible for the development and implementation of several clinical programs, including Care Management, Wellness and Palliative Care and Community Outreach; the latest being an innovative program that develops initiatives to address the social determinants of health. Her current responsibilities include the oversight of the Clinical Affairs, Premium Management, Clinical Operations and Quality departments.

In 2020 she received the Outstanding Woman in the Healthcare Field Award from the Puerto Rico Hospital Association.

Founder and past president of the Chief Medical Officers Committee of the Puerto Rico Medicaid and Medicare Advantage Products Association (MMAPA).

Committed to the community, Dr. Hernández sits on the Board of Trustees of SER de Puerto Rico, a non-profit entity dedicated to improving the quality of life of people with disabilities and autism.
