Rachid Molinary, Chief Innovation Officer, is responsible for leading MCS’s business innovation functions, the Enterprise Project Management Office (ePMO), and the Process Improvement division.
His responsibilities include identifying and developing new growth opportunities, driving the adoption of innovative capabilities, strengthening the governance and execution of the strategic portfolio of initiatives, promoting continuous improvement of organizational processes, and developing solutions that generate measurable value for the organization. His role bridges business strategy with innovation, including the evaluation, adoption, and strategic application of artificial intelligence, emerging technologies, and the development of new capabilities that contribute to the organization’s growth and evolution.
Molinary has 30 years of executive experience leading strategies in technology, innovation, digital products, and business growth across the healthcare, financial services, payment, and digital media industries. Prior to joining MCS, he served as Chief Information Officer in the healthcare sector in Puerto Rico, leading initiatives in technology, digital platforms, cybersecurity, data, and analytics to support complex operations in a highly regulated environment.
He held leadership positions at Banco Popular de Puerto Rico and Evertec, where he played a key role in the development and evolution of digital banking initiatives, payment methods, and technology platforms. He has also been involved in the founding and development of technology companies and digital products, drawing on his expertise in strategy, innovation, technology, and business execution.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Design (Architecture) from the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras Campus, and a master’s degree in Architecture from Ohio State University.
In 2024, he was recognized as one of the HITEC 50, a distinction that honors the most influential Hispanic executives in the global technology industry. In 1999, representing Mediawire Communications, he won the EY Young Entrepreneur Of The Year™ award.
Outside of work, he is actively involved in organizations dedicated to the cultural, educational, and scientific development of Puerto Rico. He currently serves as vice president of the Board of Directors of the Museum of Contemporary Art of Puerto Rico (MAC) and vice president of the Board of Directors of the EcoExploratorio.
